Dwayne Johnson is “The Tooth Fairy,” also known as Derek Thompson, a hard-charging minor league hockey player whose nickname comes from his habit of separating opposing players from their bicuspids.
When Derek discourages a youngster’s hopes, he’s sentenced to one week’s hard labor as a real tooth fairy, complete with the requisite tutu, wings and magic wand. At first, Derek “can’t handle the tooth” – bumbling and stumbling as he tries to furtively wing his way through strangers’ homes…doing what tooth fairies do. But as Derek slowly adapts to his new position, he begins to rediscover his own forgotten dreams.
I respect Dwayne Johnson for making movies about and with kids but I think these kinds movies have to stop. The plot is awfully bad and I can’t believe these types of movies are being made and being seen in theaters. I know this movie is aims towards kids but who would want to watch a movie about a hockey player becoming a tooth fairy?
I hope this movie will be good for kids to watch because I don’t think adults wouldn’t even see this movie all by themselves. To be honest, I think Dwayne Johnson should stick to action movies (The Rundown, The Scorpion King, etc.) since he’s build to do them.
