To give the credit where it's due, DULHA MIL GAYA has some interesting moments, but the problem is they are few and far between. One expects things to perk up when SRK's character is introduced [in the post-interval portions], but your hopes go crashing as nothing worthy of note occurs.The writing has gaping flaws, which are difficult to absorb after a point. The girl travels all the way from Punjab to Trinidad and Tobago, but not once do her concerned parents call to enquire how she is. Strangely, even the girl doesn't feel the need to inform them. If that's not enough, Sushmita takes upon herself to tame Fardeen, giving you the impression that she thinks from her heart. But when it comes to her relationship with Shah Rukh, she behaves in a rather odd manner. SRK, on the other hand, seems completely besotted by her, even though she never reciprocates his feelings. Hence, her somersault in the end - just because Ishita has given her some bhashan - doesn't look convincing.
The music is of a mixed variety. 'Akela Dil' is groovy, while the title track is strictly okay. Cinematography is appealing. Sushmita excels in a role that demands her to be hoity-toity. She enacts her part effortlessly. One wishes to see her more often on the big screen! Fardeen does a good job, especially towards the end when he's about to confess something vital to Ishita. Ishita delivers a sincere performance. It's a pity that a superstar like Shah Rukh is terribly wasted in an inconsequential role. It may not go down well with his fans. Mohit Chadha has screen presence, but gets no scope. Johny Lever is wasted. Ditto for Tara Sharma. Suchitra Pillai and Howard Rosemeyer are passable. Parikshit Sahni, Bina Kak and Viveck Vaswani are as usual.

Well before you assume that Himesh Reshammiya has turned a radio jockey here’s the news. The singer-composer-actor's next project is titled ‘Radio’. The film has Himesh Reshammiya opposite VJ Shehnaz Treasurywala aka Treasury. And Himesh’s next film is also a love story.
Himesh has not just a new role play but also a cropped new look. The film deals with modern day relationships and compatibility issues and will be directed by Ishaan Trivedi and produced by Ravi Agrawal.
The film has about eight songs, which is not surprising since we can expect Himesh to do his own playback singing in the film. However post giving a dud in the box-office last time around, we hope Himesh manages to come back. As for paying a radio jockey we wonder who Himesh would imitate on air' considering that he himself is a subject of imitation on most radio channels.

Singer Himesh and composer Himesh are in perfect rhythm for this hit chartbuster song. The number has gained tremendous popularity thanks to its tune and catchy lyrics. The remix version is just about okay. Based on Radio, the album has another track Zindagi Jaise Ek Radio - a bhangra number soaked in folk flavor. The USP of this song is Himesh’s unusual style of singing with passion and aplomb. The same rhythm continues for the remix number. A Himesh album sounds incomplete without a love ballad, and thus comes ‘Jaaneman’ featuring a heartfelt rendition by Himesh and Shreya Ghosal. PS: If you are not a fan of Himesh, you will become one.

One hearing and the song connects with you. Shreya and Himesh, thumbs up! I am sure you will not get bored of this duo, as Shreya and Himesh again team up for Teri Meri Dosti Ka Asmaan. The song’s simple tune and very touchy lyrics makes it a must-hear. A song for son-in-law Damad ji Angana hai padahare is not a simply situational track with Rajasthani folk music. In the voice of Kailash Kher, it is a song you will like to listen again and again. After listening to three diverse folk numbers in the album, we know Himesh understands the nerve of Indian folk music.
22 January 2010 will unveil the biggest ever period film in Bollywood – Veer. The makers of the film, especially Salman Khan (the writer and hero of the film), have tried their best to retain the feel of the eighteenth century.
Recently, Veer’s audio launch was held in the city with much gusto, amidst the presence of several biggies of the musicdom.
For the first time ‘Veer’ has brought together the music directors Sajid-Wajid and lyricist Gulzar. Talking about the music, Wajid quoted, “The music of the film is larger than life, it suits the epic era yet is contemporary. The music will definitely be loved. Just like the title of the film it will not disappoint.”
Interestingly, the background scores have been done with a touch of uniqueness. According to sources, for the music none of the songs had electronic audio sound recording. Instead, 50 musicians across India had come together for a live orchestral recording of the film. These musicians perform live shows across the country and were hard to source but the musical team refused to compromise, revealed sources.
“Normally an electronic sound recording is quicker and takes 3 days to the maximum however the songs of Veer took an easy 12 days as it involved major co-ordination and was recorded live,” further said the sources.
