Akshay Kumar, the ambassador for Olympic Games
He is one among the 15 international celebrities who have been invited for the Olympics torchbearer rally to Canada. Akshay Kumar is nominated as India’s ambassador for the Olympic Games.
In a grand event to be held in Mumbai on November 16, Steven Baker, the Prime minister of Canada, will formally invite Akshay to take part in the rally of the winter Olympics, to be held from February 12 to 28 next year in Vancouver. Steven Baker is especially visiting India to announce it. As reported in a tabloid, “He (Akshay) was selected because he is the only Indian actor who is a sixth degree black belt, and is quite popular with the sizeable Indian population in Canada,” disclosed sources.
The Bollywood star, as expected, is quite thrilled with the news, and will run with the torch on December 17 in Ontario.
No doubt Akki has made a name for himself as the global face of Indian film industry.
